We recently received calls from some clients about importing issues into Vtiger. Here are some tips from our developers to make importing into Vtiger go more smoothly.
The most common importing issue is the upload_max_size limitations in the environment’s php.ini file. Typically, this defaults to something small like 2 or 5 MB. Increasing this to 50 or 100 MB, in conjunction with updating the max upload defined in config.inc.php for Vtiger, typically resolves most import issues.
Additionally, larger imports for Vtiger require the Vtiger cron job/scheduled task to be active, as it runs the imports in the background and simply uses the browser interface to display the progress.
